Sustainability Reports

We proudly present the new Schur Flexibles Sustainability Report, compiling a comprehensive review on our Group’s sustainability strategy and actions! We at Schur Flexibles consistently focus on ‘How we produce’. To us, protecting the packed goods is just as important as taking responsibility for the effects of our business on people – employees, consumers and partners along the entire value chain, as well as our environment. In our Sustainability Report we transparently demonstrate how we take concrete actions in sustainability along our strategic pillars of Purpose, People, Planet, Prosperity. We are proud to invite you to a readers’ journey to learn more about the joint efforts of our sustainability teams and colleagues at Schur Flexibles. At this point, a special “thank you” to all supporting colleagues, stakeholders, especially to the sustainability team of Martin Berlekamp, Fiene Berger and Max Wolfmaier for initiating and establishing the BluePrint team and working on the report!

About the report’s structure and development:
The report follows the guidelines set out by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, application level “Core”. Its structure goes along with Schur Flexibles’ relevant material topics.

The basis of this report has been laid down in a Group-wide data collection process, based on the indicators of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), followed by an analysis of positive and negative – current and future – impacts on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDGs). The evaluation of all possible material topics included an economic, environmental as well as social perspective. In addition to an internal evaluation, an external stakeholder dialogue also completed this survey process. Each material topic was assessed and validated by our most relevant stakeholder groups to see whether a given topic could potentially influence their actions and decisions. All this resulted in our first materiality matrix – and these most relevant material topics now define the structure of the report.
