This Data Privacy Statement serves to inform you about the personal data we collect, how we process this data and your rights in connection with the use of your data.

   2. Which data do we process for which purpose and based on which legal grounds?

We collect data that you provide us either directly or indirectly. We process this data for the following purposes on the basis of the legal grounds outlined below:

      a. Website use

To enable you to use this website, we collect data that your browser sends to our server. This comprises data on your IP address, type of browser, language settings, operator, domain name and domain host. The legal basis for the collection of this data is our legitimate interest, in order to operate the website.

We also use cookies. The legal basis for our use of technically required cookies is our legitimate interest, in order to operate the website. The legal basis for our use of cookies that are not required for technical reasons is your consent. Further information on the use of cookies on this website, the purposes they serve and the possibilities available to you to control or block these cookies can be found in our Cookie Policy.

You provide your data for this purpose on a voluntary basis; in other words, you are neither legally nor contractually obliged to do so. Should you not provide your data, you may find that you are not able to make full use of all functions on our website.

      b. Newsletter

You can subscribe on our website to a newsletter. We process the data that you provide to us in order to inform you about our products and services. Your data will be processed for the aforementioned marketing purposes only with your consent.

      c. Job applications

We process the following data that you provide to us either directly or via an external recruitment agency in conjunction with your application for employment or work at Schur Flexibles: name, personal contact details, photograph, certificates, references, curriculum vitae, appraisals by recruitment agencies, religious affiliation (if included in your curriculum vitae).

- If you begin employment with us, this data will be integrated into our personnel administration system.

- If you do not obtain employment with us, we will store your data for up to six (6) months after our decision on your employment. Should we wish to keep your data on record for a longer period (e.g. for possible future employment), we will seek your consent to do so in advance.

We process the data that you provide to us in conjunction with your application to the extent required to complete any (pre-)contractual measures. Any further processing of this data, if provided for by law, will only be carried out with your prior consent.

You provide your data for this purpose on a voluntary basis; in other words, you are neither legally nor contractually obliged to do so. Should you not provide your data, we will not be able to process your application.

   3. Who do we disclose your data to?

      a. Categories of recipient

To achieve the purposes outlined in Point 2 above, we may disclose your data to the following categories of recipient:

  • Web analysis services;
  • Recruitment agencies.

      b. Transmission of data to another country

In the course of the aforementioned data processing, we may transmit your data to recipients in countries outside the European Union (so-called non-member countries). We will only transmit your data (i) to countries deemed by the European Commission to have an adequate level of data privacy, (ii) to recipients who are certified acc. to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework, or (iii) if measures have been taken to guarantee that the respective recipient affords an appropriate level of data privacy (in particular by signing standard data protection clauses).

   4. How long do we store your personal data?

Unless otherwise provided in this Data Privacy Statement, we will not store your data any longer than is required for the processing purposes described in Point 2 above or to otherwise fulfill our contractual or legal obligations. Your data will therefore be retained for as long as is required for the purpose of the processing or as long as applicable law requires (i.e. for the duration of any statutory retention requirements) or permits (i.e. until the expiry of the statute of limitations for potential legal claims or as long as there is a legitimate interest on our part).

Under current legislation, you as the data subject have the right at any time to:

  • Information about the personal data we have processed about you,
  • Rectification of incorrect data,
  • Data portability,
  • Restriction of the data processing, and
  • Deletion of your data (“Right to be Forgotten”).

If your data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest, you also have the right for reasons pertaining to your own particular situation to object at any time to the processing of your data; this applies in particular for the processing of data for direct marketing purposes.

If your data is processed with your consent, you further have the right at any time to withdraw this consent for future processing. Such a withdrawal of consent will not affect the legality of any processing carried out prior to this point in time.

We, Schur Flexibles Holding GesmbH (“Schur Flexibles”, “we”, “us”) (for contact details see Point 1 of our Data Privacy Statement) use the cookies listed under Point 4 below to make our website more user-friendly, effective and safe.

   1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are sent by a web server to your browser when you visit a website. The text files contain data from the websites you visit, which your browser stores when you are surfing.

Some cookies are deleted automatically when you close the browser (so-called session cookies).    5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, on our website. The information about your use of our website generated by cookies are usually transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the United States. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyze your use of our website, compile reports on website activity and provide us with other services related to website activity and internet usage. The data processed can be used to generate pseudonym usage profiles of the users.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that your IP address will be truncated/anonymized by Google for Member States of the European Union or other countries that have signed the European Economic Area Treaty as soon as Google receives it. The full IP address will only be sent in exceptional cases to a Google server in the United States for truncation. The IP address transmitted by your browser will not be linked by Google to other data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies using a corresponding setting in your browser (see Point 6. “Blocking of cookies”).
